The CITB health and safety awareness training course is for those who have or are about to enter the construction and civil engineering industry as a member of the workforce to help them understand the potential hazards that they face at work on site. This course is the first step towards the CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card) application.
Delegates can move forward to the progressive CITB Site Safety Plus suite of courses that range from training for operatives into the industry up to senior management Health and Safety courses.
CITB Health and Safety Awareness training – Site Safety Plus 1 Day
Delegates sitting this qualification will gain a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace environment. Topics will include occupational health, current legislation, working at height, manual handling and more. This qualification must be held if you are applying for your CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card).

CITB health and safety awareness training – Assessment and Certification:
This is a professional interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual/group presentations. Delegates will be continuously assessed throughout the course. There will be a multiple-choice test at the end of the course which delegates need to successfully pass. On successful completion of the course a 5 year nationally recognised Site Safety Plus certificate will be awarded
How to get your CSCS Green Card
1. Complete your CITB Health and Safety Awareness Training course
2. Apply for your Health, Safety and Environment Touch Screen test.
3. On completing the above successfully you will receive your ID number which allows you to apply for your Card.
