This is an integrated chainsaw training and assessment course of 2 days duration, for a maximum of 4 people.
Chainsaw training is carried out in small groups so that you receive plenty of individual attention, supplemented by course materials. We work closely with the Health and Safety Executive to ensure that our materials reflect current safe working practices.
To acquaint those engaged with Roadwork's or Temporary Restrictions which cause partial or total obstruction of the Highways whether on the carriageway, footway, cycleway, verge or hard shoulder with sufficient knowledge or signing, lighting and guarding methods in order to minimize delays and eliminate risk of accidents whilst maintaining a safe environment for the general public, road user and those engaged with the works.
The new Confined Spaces Regulations set out the requirement for suitable and sufficient training for persons who enter confined spaces during the course of their work. The Regulations define a confined space as any vat, pit, flue, tank, sewer, drain and any other similar space by virtue of its nature there is a reasonably foreseeable risk to health and safety. Those persons who are 'at risk' must receive suitable training before entering a confined space.
This course is designed for beginners and experienced operatives alike. Individuals will be taught over the required days (1 day for requalification and 3 days for novice) in all procedures relating to the safe operation of reach or counterbalance Fork Lift Trucks. Anyone who may be required to operate a Fork Lift truck as part of their job role should attend this course.
This course is suitable for a ll those involved in operating and maintaining hydraulic nozzle type knapsack sprayers. Participants should have attended the course Safe Use of Pesticides or hold the recognised certificate of competence 'Safe Use of Pesticides, Environmental Factors and Legislation'.
On completion of this course those attending will be able to: State the Health & Safety requirements of operating a pedestrian mower Correcting adjust and prepare the machine for cutting according to manufacturers/employer specification Operate mower(s) in a safe and efficient manner Undertake daily and weekly maintenance procedures
This one day course is suitable for anybody involved in the storage, handling and application of pesticides. This course must be completed by all delegates who use either handheld or tractor mounted sprayers.
This one day course is delivered in two parts. The morning session deals with the safe use of Strimmers and the afternoon session deals with the safe use of Hedge Trimmers. The safety implications of using this equipment are raised throughout the days training. It includes practical training in the correct operation of the strimmers and hedge trimmers and also a classroom-based theory session.
