Course aims:
This course is designed for people who are responsible for fire safety in the workplace, such as Fire Wardens and Fire Marshals. During this 1 day course, Learners will develop their knowledge and skills in reducing Fire hazards in the workplace .

Fire Safety Level 2 Award – Course Content:

There will be group discussion and theoretical work delivered during the course and course content includes:

  • Causes of fires in the workplace
  • The fire triangle
  • Hazards during and after a fire
  • Fire and smoke spread
  • Fire prevention
  • Fire detection and raising the alarm
  • Means of escape
  • Principles of extinguishing fires
  • Fire fighting equipment and systems
  • Duties and responsibilities of employers and employees
  • Undertaking a fire safety inspection
  • Contents of a fire safety briefing
  • Roles and responsibilities of the nominated Fire Warden:
  • On a day to day basis
  • During an emergency

Assessment and Certification: Assessment for this Fire Safety Training course will be carried out by the instructor throughout the course. Delegates will need to complete a theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper). On completion of the training successful trainees will receive an accredited Level 2 Qualification, valid for 3 Years.


This Course is fully accredited and regulated by Ofqual.
