Fire Safety Training Level 2

Is Fire Safety training a legal requirement?

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires employers to have an evacuation plan in place for all building occupants. The legislation takes a risk-based approach to fire safety in community, industrial, and business premises. The designated responsible person, such as the employer, owner, or occupier, must carry out a fire safety risk assessment and implement the necessary fire precautionary and protection measures.

The responsible person is also responsible for maintaining a fire management plan. We can assist in preparing you for emergency situations and offer fire warden training that is tailored to individual circumstances, such as for disabled staff, or if you work with the very young or the elderly, or in a particular environment such as a construction site.

The Fire Warden training course, also referred to as ‘Fire Marshal’ training is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to fulfil the role of a Company Fire Warden. In particular, to enable them to respond promptly and positively in the event of a suspected or actual fire, and facilitate the safe evacuation of the premises.
