Course Content:
This course will provide your business with all the tools you need in order to set up a food safety management system and maintain high levels of food hygiene within your establishment. Additionally, course content includes the following:

  • The importance of food safety
  • Food safety laws
  • Legal responsibilities of food handlers
  • Types of contamination and the associated risks
  • Bacteriology
  • An introduction to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Personal hygiene
  • Work flow, work surfaces and equipment

  • Safe food handling practices including time and temperature controls

Delegates will be required to complete a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course. On successfully completing the course delegates will be awarded a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering Certificate which is valid for 3 years.
